JVZoo: what it takes to get approved.

Digital (and some physical/service) products, especially internet-marketing, software/SaaS, courses and funnels with upsells, where the seller wants affiliate recruitment, JVZoo checkout and tracking.

Networks change their rules. Every point below links to its source and the date we read it; check it the day you submit.

Who it suits

Internet-marketing / MMO / software buyers and a large affiliate base that finds offers via the Find Products page, Product of the Day and the JVZoo launch calendar.

Fees

5% of the gross selling price on each sale (Vendor Agreement s.7; help 'JVZoo fees': no charge for setting up unlimited products, no charge to affiliates). With JVZoo Processing Services: 8.5% per sale (jvzoo.com/faq); on refund of a Processing Services sale the 3.5% + $1 processing fee is not returned; chargebacks $49 ($23 when a prevention alert triggers a proactive refund); pass-through fees may apply. Uncollected fees are invoiced; invoices unpaid after 14 days are deducted from JVZooPay. KYC verification via Veriff costs a 'nominal fee' (amount not published). New JVZooPay accounts: 25% rolling reserve for 6 months. JVZoo is automatically an affiliate for every product (payee 'BBC Systems, Inc'). Payout minimums conflict: FAQ says first payout needs a $100 minimum balance; JVZooPay Requirements say over $50.

Affiliate page and affiliate info

Affiliates tab (observed): 'External JV Page URL', 'Affiliate Notes' shown as 'Additional Affiliate Information' (992 characters accepted), 'Requirements' (~255-character limit). Product Calendar entry fields: Product Name, Release Date and Time, Product Price, Commission Rate, Sales Page, JV Page. Affiliate Details page is where affiliates get links; sellers can offer promotional material and custom affiliate sales pages.

Delivery

Thank You / Download page URL with optional passed parameters cbreceipt, time, item, cbpop (cbpop = SHA-1(secret|cbreceipt|time|item) first 8 upper; observed), or JVZoo-hosted file; approval requires a thank-you page or delivery file. JVZIPN v1: form POST per SALE/BILL/RFND/CGBK/INSF/CANCEL-REBILL/UNCANCEL-REBILL, fields ccustname, ccustemail, cproditem, ctransaction, ctransamount (pennies), ctransreceipt, cvendthru, cverify (SHA-1 of sorted field values joined by '|' + secret, first 8 hex upper), expects HTTP 200 and retries hourly for 72 hours, valid SSL required. JVZIPN v2 (article 2026-04-20): SALE/BILL/RFND (chargebacks arrive as RFND), amounts in dollars, cverify = SHA-1(paykey|customer_email|product_name|transaction_type|date|secret) first 8 upper, transactionPayouts JSON, HTTPS and 30 s timeout, and it states 'No retry on failure' (email alert only). v1 and v2 can both be configured. No sandbox: test with a $1 real purchase then refund.

Reviewer access

Product editor Compliance tab notes (login details and access instructions for the Compliance team); observed: the Compliance step's product-access field (a $0 reviewer access link) was required on 2026-09-24/25.

Approval

Every product is reviewed by the JVZoo Compliance team before it can be sold or promoted; JVZoo recommends allowing at least 72 hours. Denials come as an email plus 'Warning: You have products requiring attention.' with a checklist to answer and resubmit (jvzoo.com/product/vendorcomplianceresponse/productspendingaction). Daily random spot checks can take a live product down (stops new sales, not rebills). JVZoo Processing Services products get a more detailed review. Observed: submitted 2026-09-24, fixes requested, resubmitted 2026-09-25, dashboard 'Available to be purchased.' with no compliance label by 2026-09-26 04:45 UTC; being approved/buyable did not put it in the marketplace.

Affiliate approval

Manual by default: Sellers > Manage Affiliates > Review pending Affiliates (Approve/Deny). Options: Automated Affiliate Threshold (auto-approve by number of sales, sales dollar amount, refund rate below X%), per-affiliate Auto Approved list, 'Automatic Approval for Premium Affiliates' toggle in Seller Information, Affiliate Sync across products. JVZoo is automatically an affiliate for all products. New affiliates may be on New Account Probation (red exclamation mark).

Marketplace visibility

Product Status 'Available to be purchased' and approved. 'Show in Marketplace' puts it in consideration for the Public Marketplace, which (help, updated 2024-12-13) lists only approved, available products priced >= $17 with a product image, a description of at least 50 characters, at least 25 sales, and past the release date/time. 'Discoverable to Affiliates' shows it on Find Products after 10+ sales. Product of the Day opt-in toggle. Products with no sale in 6 months are auto-archived (hidden from Marketplace and Find Products). Seller Health thresholds (dispute < 0.75%, dispute alert < 3%, refund < 8%) and exceeding them 'may result in reduced marketplace visibility or product delisting'. Observed: 'Show in Marketplace' had been unchecked, so the product was buyable but not in the marketplace until ticked (actual appearance with 0 sales not verified).

Refunds

Sellers set their own refund policy (no restrictions) but must honour it consistently. Seller issues refunds: Sellers > Reports > Transactions > transaction > 'Refund' (irreversible); refunding pulls money back from JVZoo, affiliates and JVs; RFND IPN fires. JVZoo Processing Services: JVZoo may refund without seller consent; 3.5% + $1 processing fee not returned. JVZooPay: refunded commissions reversed and the 5% fee deducted. Refund-window statements conflict: FAQ describes a '30-day refund period' before payouts; help 'Affiliate stats don't reflect all sales' cites 'JVZoo's refund period of 60 days'; the Vendor Agreement's delayed commission plan pays at least 60 days after the order. Supplements: max 60-day return policy.
