Explodely: what it takes to get approved.

Digital info products, courses and software with a full sales funnel (front end, upsells, order bumps, rebills) whose seller accepts a 60-day refund guarantee and Explodely as merchant of record and sole checkout on the funnel.

Networks change their rules. Every point below links to its source and the date we read it; check it the day you submit.

Who it suits

Explodely affiliates (internet-marketing/JV style, RevShare up to 75% or CPA up to $250) browsing the Explodely Marketplace; buyers are those affiliates' traffic.

Fees

Supplier ToS (page says last updated Jun 8, 2023): Explodely Discount (Tier 2) 10% of SRP + $1.00 per transaction for bank transfer, card and crypto; Sezzle 15% + $1.00 (Tier 1 rates only under a separate Distribution Agent Commercial Agreement). One-time activation fee $47.00 charged when the first product is approved, refunded if not approved. Refunds incur a $1 fee and the 10% + $1 is not returned on refunds/chargebacks; chargeback or CB360 alert $50 each, RDR $75, surcharges above 2%/3%/4%/5% chargeback rate. $20 handling fee per payout; minimum payout $250 and at least five unique buyers; 10% reserve 'generally retained for up to 189 days'; dormant-account fees after 90 days without income. Conflicting marketing copy on explodely.com/sellers: '$50 one-time activation fee ... Our discount rate starts at 0% + $1 per transaction' (help article 2023: 10% of SRP + $1.00 and $20 per payout). Treat the ToS numbers as binding; confirm the activation amount in the account.

Affiliate page and affiliate info

No dedicated JV-page field found in the add-product form documentation; the Explodely Marketplace shows price, commission, seller details, refund rate, sales page link and 'affiliate page link' to affiliates. Commission set per product (RevShare after Explodely fees, affiliates lose it on refund/chargeback; or CPA fixed, not clawed back, initial sale only). Private Affiliate Commission (Seller Hub > Settings) sets per-affiliate RevShare/CPA bumps. Second-tier commissions and JV contracts available.

Delivery

Content Delivery URL on the product (download page or member login for that product, never an OTO URL) appears as an access button in the email receipt and on Order Lookup. Alternatives: Product Dyno, aMember plugin, Zapier, or IPN: on every sale, refund and chargeback Explodely sends an IPN to the listener URL; the IPN Builder composes a GET URL with chosen tokens (order ID, amount, affiliate ID, etc.). Thank you page URL set per product. ToS: products must be digitally delivered within 24 hours; shipped items only as bonuses.

Approval

Submit the product; compliance review 'within 3-5 business days' with email notice on approval; after meeting the compliance checklist, contact your account manager or sellers@explodely.com. Approval is at Explodely's sole discretion (ToS 11.1).

Affiliate approval

Marketplace Visibility Type Public (open to affiliates in the marketplace) or Private ('Invite Only / Whitelisting': only affiliates you have manually reviewed and approved can promote).

Marketplace Visibility Type = Public on the product (Private keeps it invite-only). ToS: supplier agrees products 'will be made accessible and searchable in the online Marketplace'.

Refunds

60-day money-back guarantee on every product sold via the Explodely Marketplace (Explodely may refund after 60 days to prevent fraud/chargebacks). Buyers contact Explodely; Explodely opens a Refund Request ticket with the seller, which is automatically refunded after 48 hours unless the seller resolves it (can convert to a Support Request) or sends a Partial Refund Offer (30-100%; buyer decline = full refund). Refund costs the seller the $1 refund fee and the non-refundable 10% + $1.
